Speaking Center

The Department directs the Southern Miss Speaking Center (Cook Library Rooms 119/120) whose goal is to foster the development of students’ skills as competent and ethical speakers. For students, the Center provides personalized assistance with speaking assignments at any stage from generating topics to delivering the presentation and the opportunity to rehearse, video record, observe, and discuss with a consultant a presentation

For faculty, the Speaking Center offers assistance with designing speaking assignments to foster course objectives and classroom support for the preparation of students for speaking assignments.
