Southern Miss to Host ASID Regional Career Day:
The Southern Miss Interior Design Program will be hosting the 2014 American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) South Central Chapter Student Career Day on Saturday, February 22, 2014.  Approximately 150 interior design students from Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi are expected to gather at the Thad Cochran center to participate in a variety of events.  Students will be participating in mock-interviews and can receive professional critiques of their portfolios.  In addition, students will be able to attend a variety of design related workshops and will be able to meet with manufacturer representatives from the commercial and residential design industry during a dedicated 1 ½ hour vendor show.  The main attraction, however, will be the student design competitions where students from across the region compete in the annual student design competition.  With more than 10 competition categories, there will be plenty of impressive student projects to view during the show with cash awards and door prizes given out during the closing ceremony.  More information will follow.
