COLLEGE AMBASSADORS PROGRAM

  1. Ambassadors are chosen through an application process with strong GPA and leadership qualities a must.
  2. Ambassadors are given distinctive polo shirts with the Science & Technology logo on it to be recognizable by fellow students.
  3. Ambassadors serve a one or two year term, depending on whether they came in as a junior or senior and whether they continue to maintain the eligibility standards.
  4. Ambassadors meet with the dean of the College monthly to discuss things of interest and/or voice their concerns to him.
  5. Ambassadors are active in volunteer activities we coordinate (Relay for Life, Phonathon, Science Fair Judges, Recruiting a table at Science Fair with Science & Technology Literature, and Peer mentoring program).
  6. Ambassador training for the Peer Mentor Program is held in early summer and deals with crisis intervention and confidentiality issues.
  7. Ambassadors are instrumental in helping choose their (and others) replacements in the Fall of the year.
  8. Ambassadors are given a certificate of appreciation and asked to provide written feedback on the program in a survey manner.
