William Holt, M.A.

Visiting Instructor

Will Holt is a doctoral student at The University of Southern Mississippi, having completed his coursework, and now studying for comprehensive exams and preparing for his dissertation.  Will was a police officer for eight years in Texas after receiving his Master of Arts in Criminology/Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University and working on his Ph.D.  He has both past research experience and current interests in: the role of religiosity in offender rehabilitation; police use of force; firearm rights/gun control policies; police education; criminological theory; and policing with specialized units.
