| What
we’re doing now
The Center for
Tobacco Prevention & Health Promotion is responsible for
scheduling and training teachers through out the state in
tobacco prevention methods. The programs provided to the teachers
are: R.A.T. (Reject All Tobacco, K-3rd grade), S.W.A.T. (Students
Working Against Tobacco, 4th-6th grade), Allies (7th-8th grade),
and Frontline (9th-12th grade). The teachers that are trained
in these programs receive free material for the classroom,
tobacco prevention lesson plans that are easily incorporated
into their existing curriculum as well as facts about the
harmful affects of tobacco. |
