The established regular hours of work comprising full-time employment for staff employees of the University shall be forty (40) hours per week. All offices shall be open during the hours 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on official University holidays or administrative closings. All employees are required to inform the appropriate Office Manager and/or Management Assistant when running late, calling out, and going off campus. It is the University's record keeping policy to maintain records on exempt/non-exempt employees; therefore in order for staff to earn compensatory hours; Dr. Walker or Dr. Siders must receive an advance written request. All approved compensatory time will be taken by the employee in the month accumulated and no later than the 1st week of the following month. All salaried employees must complete the Monthly Leave Record in SOAR by the 5th of every month. FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE TIME AND ATTENDANCE RECORDS COULD RESULT IN NO LEAVE PAYMENT OR PERS LEAVE CERTIFICATION. All employees wishing to take personal or sick leave must receive advance approval when possible. Please forward your Leave slips to the appropriate Office Manager and/or Management Assistant to be routed to Dr. Siders or Dr. Walker for approval.
