Language Enhancement and Achievement Program (LEAP) for Students with Dyslexia

Language Enhancement and Achievement ProgramDuBard School offers a modified DuBard Association Method® curriculum designed for students with dyslexia. The unique program called the Language, Enhancement and Achievement Program, or LEAP, is offered each semester in a small group setting.

Dyslexia is a language-based disorder that interferes with the acquisition and processing of skills in reading/written language. It varies in degree of severity and is manifested by difficulties in receptive and expressive language, including phonological processing in reading, writing, spelling, handwriting and sometimes arithmetic.

For Children Who:

1. Have difficulty

  • Rhyming
  • Sounding out words
  • Blending sounds into words
  • Spelling
  • Reading

2. May or may NOT have a diagnosis of dyslexia or specific learning disability in reading

3. Have average speech and oral language skills
