Fundraising Events and Community Support

The Children's Center for Communication and Development provides services to families at no cost.  To underwrite these services, the Center must take an active role in raising private support through a variety of fundraising events. 

The following is a brief list of opportunities to contribute to The Children's Center.

The Children's Center is an agency of the following charitable organizations:

• The United Way of the Pinebelt Region
• The United Way of Southeast Mississippi
• The United Givers of Southwest Mississippi

Contributions to these organizations may be designated for The Children's Center.

The Children's Center Golf Classic

The Children's Center hosts an annual golf tournament each Fall, uniting golfers from around the Pine Belt in support of The Children's Center.  The 2012 tournament was held at the beautiful Timberton Golf Club, Hattiesburg, on Saturday, November 10, 2012.   Timberton will again graciously serve as the site for this year's golf classic on Saturday, November 2, 2013.  Click here for more information.

The Rotary Club of Hattiesburg's Annual Fundraiser, A Night in Italy

The Rotary Club of Hattiesburg supports The Children's Center through A Night in Italy, an annual ticketed spaghetti dinner held each April. This year's event will took place Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Southern Oaks House & Gardens, 1246 Richburg Road, and was well attended by Center and Rotary friends, families and the greater Hattiesburg community.   Please visit our photo gallery to view pictures from this delightful evening. 

Newk's Express Cafe, Third Thursdays

On the third Thursday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Newk's Express Cafe of Hattiesburg donates a portion of its lunch sales to The Children's Center.  Enjoy a delicious lunch and experience the satisfaction of knowing your patronage benefits the Center.
