True South Basic Economic Development Course

An introductory course exposing participants to the fundamentals and practice of creating jobs, increasing wealth, improving the tax base, and enhancing a community’s quality-of-life, the first step in pursuing professional certification. This course also satisfies the IEDC course requirement for Introduction to Economic Development.
About Basic Economic Development Courses:
Providing a solid foundation for entry-level economic development practitioners, Basic Economic Development Courses serve as the equivalent to IEDC's Introduction to Economic Development course in preparation for the IEDC Certification exam.
Accreditation by IEDC ensures that each BEDC covers subject areas determined to be the core building blocks in any economic development organization.
