Vision Statement

All school counselors will be prepared to assist P-12 students, families, faculty, and communities in prosperous educational and social achievements.

 

Mission Statement

To empower school counselors with skills and attitudes to launch programs and techniques that will meet the academic, social, and physiological needs of all students.

Goal

To offer an affordable quality school counseling program that addresses the needs of today's schools and is flexible in meeting individual career goals with a convenient class scheduling.

This program is designed to meet the professional preparation needs of teachers who expect to work as school guidance counselors. One year of full-time teaching experience in any of U.S. grade P-12 and a Class A Standard teaching certificate are prerequisites for admission. Whether seeking a degree or certification only, all candidates must meet admission requirements and be admitted.
