David P. Daves, Ph.D.

Dr. David Daves earned his Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1997. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in secondary education and high school curriculum. Currently, Dr. Daves serves as Chair of the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education, a position he has held since fall 2007. His primary research interests include school violence, Response to Intervention, No Child Left Behind, teacher accountability, and online instruction. Dr. Daves has numerous publications in national and international journals and has conducted more than 20 presentations at state/regional, national, and international conferences. including invited lectures in Athens, Greece and Prato, Italy.
