Tania Hanna, Ph.D.

Dr. Tania Hanna holds a doctorate in Elementary Education with an emphasis in K-12 literacy from The University of Southern Mississippi.  She has taught both graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education and is frequently invited to present at state conferences, community groups, and school districts.   Her research interests include literacy development in content areas, phonics and spelling, cognition and learning, vocabulary acquisition and development and comprehension.  Many of her research interests stem from her experiences as a public school classroom teacher.
