  The opportunity to complete an executive format Master of Science degree in Workforce Training and Development positions professionals to advance career goals.   This Southern Miss program is designed to expand instructional opportunities beyond the traditional boundaries of on-campus class delivery. Students experience an executive format program to maximize interaction and learning not only during in-person, weekend-class sessions, but also between sessions via online communication among students and professors.

  The IT program is designed for those individuals who are interested in pursuing careers and/or professional development in instructional design and development, application and administration of technology, cognitive theory, and research. Instructional technology and design professionals are needed in numerous settings including education and training, business and industry, health and human services, military, and government.

  The IT program provides students the flexibility to pursue individual interests. The program allows students to elect one of two emphasis areas – instructional technology or instructional design – to better accommodate their needs. The program provides convenience and easy access because more than half of the courses are offered online, and numerous other courses are offered through a hybrid format.
