Exploratory Triad
Funded through a Congressionally Directed Grant, the Learning Enhancement Center is developing an Exploratory Triad. The first
component of the triad will provide faculty an opportunity to access
an online course demonstrating best practices for online learning,
pedagogical resources, and instructional resources for using tools in
the Blackboard 9.1 environment.
The second component of the triad will include access to online
webinars with topics such as copyright, intellectual property,
innovative teaching strategies, and learning communities.
The third component will partner the faculty member with the
Instructional Designer in the Student Think Center to better
understand how to systematically integrate thinking and learning
processes in the classroom.
This grant is designed to pay 35 faculty a $500 stipend upon
completion of the entire triad. A call for proposals will go out
prior to the end of the spring 2011 semester. Furthermore, upon
recommendation of the Change Management Task Force, the first
component of the triad will be expanded and made available to all
faculty interested in learning more about quality development of
online courses and programs.
