Joyce Olewski Inman

Director of Composition, Assistant Professor of English

Joyce Olewski Inman is an assistant professor and director of composition. She teaches the graduate-level theory and pedagogy course, as well as first-year to senior-level composition courses. Her research interests include legal discourse analysis, basic writing pedagogies, social and cognitive linguistics in literacy politics, and the ways space and locale can influence writers and their texts. She has published in WPA and College English and is currently working on a book-length study of the ways a prominent desegregation case in higher education continues to influence local perceptions of basic writing programming and students.
