716: SEMINAR IN MODERN WORLD LITERATURE - DR. ANGELA BALL
POWER PLAYS: Power relationships, domestic and beyond, in modern world literature.
This course will use plays, novels, short stories, and poems to explore and analyze the dynamics of power in world writing of the twentieth century. Authors studied will include Harold Pinter, Tom Stoppard, Anna Akhmatova, Ha Jin, Chang-Rae Lee, and others.Requirements will include a reading journal, a seminar-style report, and a seminar paper.
