- All-American Rose Garden
Located near the front entrance of the Southern Miss campus, this garden consists of 750 Hybrid Tea and Grandiflora rosebushes. Open year-round; blooming season is late spring and summer. Free admission. For more information or to arrange a tour of the garden, please call 601.266.6951.
Founded in 1966 by Lena Y. de Grummond, the de Grummond collection holds the original manuscripts and illustrations of more than 1200 authors and illustrators, as well as 100,000+ published books dating from 1530 to the present. Established in 1997, the Museum of Art is composed of 3 galleries: the C. W. Woods Art Gallery, the Lok Exhibition Gallery, and Gallery II. The museum presents a wide range of exhibitions including local, historical, contemporary, and international showcases. The museum is located on the ground floor of the Fine Arts Building, Marsh Hall, 111 Southern Drive. Parking for museum guests is available behind Marsh Hall off Hardy Street. Located in Hattiesburg's 40-acre Kamper Park, the Hattiesburg Zoo features more than 55 animal species from five continents. Visitors are invited to tour the zoo by foot or by miniature train, which runs on a half-mile track through the exhibits. Admission is $5.00 for adults. Open Tuesday – Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

- Mississippi Armed Forces Museum
Located south of Hattiesburg on Highway 49, the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum at Camp Shelby houses memorabilia from the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf Wars.
