I serve on numerous local and state committees as well give my gifts in the community. I review manuscripts for Family Relations and the Journal of Family and Economic Issues.
In addition, I have served on many national committees including the Certified Family Life Education Academic Program Review Committee of the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) and the Public Policy Committee of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. I served as president of NCFR’s Association of Councils as well as on NCFR’s Executive Board.

Highlights of Career
· In 2005, I was invited to present a paper at Oxford University in Oxford, England. Combining our areas of expertise, Dr. Cliff Burgess and I wrote, Aging in Place: Present Realities and Future Directions, and I presented it at St. Anne’s College, Oxford University in July, 2005.
