Application for Spring Financial Assistance
A student must be enrolled at The University of Southern Mississippi on at least a half-time
basis and must be seeking a degree from the university to receive most types of federal financial
aid. If you wish to receive federal financial assistance for the spring semester, please complete
the following if:
- you are not currently enrolled at The University of Southern Mississippi, or
- you are enrolled on a less than half-time basis at The University of Southern
Mississippi.
If you are enrolled on a less than half-time basis, you should notify our office if the number
of hours for which you are registered changes so that we can determine if you have financial aid
eligibility. If you have made a change in your admissions and/or program status, contact our office
so that we can determine if your financial aid eligibility should be revised.
Students who wish to receive federal financial assistance for the spring session must complete
the 2007-2008 Free Application for Federal Student Aid
if you have not already done so.
If you are not currently enrolled at The University of Southern Mississippi please
complete the information requested below.
Students with SOAR accounts should complete the application in SOAR by navigating the following path:
Self Service > Student Center > Finances > Apply for Financial Aid
(Web app available September 1st through
SOAR.)
