TEACH Grant Application Process

How to Apply?

• Complete a FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov
• Complete Souhern Miss Application for TEACH Grant for 2008-09 or 2009-10
• Complete TEACH Grant Entrance Counseling at https://teach-ats.ed.gov/ats/studentHome.action
• Sign and return your Financial Aid Award Letter or accept award on SOAR
• Complete an Agreement to Serve (ATS) at www.teach-ats.ed.gov , once you have accepted award.

If you receive the TEACH Grant but do not fulfill the requirements of the program, your grant will convert to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized loan, which you will have to repay with interest calculated back to the date the funds were disbursed.

Once it converts to a loan it can never go back to a grant.
