Instructor of French
Katie Angus joined the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Southern Mississippi in Fall 2013 where she teaches courses in French.
She holds a B.A. in French, a B.S. with a double major in Economics and Business, and an M.A. in French Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds an M.A. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona. In August 2013, she defended her dissertation on the professional development of foreign language teaching assistants at the University of Arizona and will receive her Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching pending the completion of her dissertation revisions.
Katie is a proud Pennsylvanian, but she has spent considerable time in Europe, teaching English in France and Andorra, studying abroad, and working for study abroad programs in France. Her research interests include the professional development of foreign language instructors, the incorporation of technology in the classroom, and study abroad.
