Mary Ann Stewart
Instructor of Spanish
Mary Ann Stewart attended the University of Southern Mississippi to pursue a degree in both music and Spanish. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching Languages with a dual emphasis in Spanish and TESOL.
Ms. Stewart is an instructor of Spanish at the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Campus. She was also the program director for the 2012 Costa Rica study abroad program. Ms. Stewart is currently working with Women’s and Gender studies on the Gulf Coast campus. She also enjoys working with Southern Cinema to provide a Spanish language film series on campus. During the spring semester, Ms. Stewart holds a weekly tertulia for her students studying on the Gulf Coast. Off campus, she performs regularly with the Southern Chamber Orchestra. Her interests include languages, music performance, traveling, foreign film, and reading. She currently lives in Biloxi, MS.
