Laurel Abreu completed her Ph.D. in Spanish at the University of Florida in 2009. She also holds an M.A. from the University of Florida in Hispanic Linguistics and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Alabama. Her areas of interest include language variation and change, bilingualism, and second language acquisition.
