In many cases, the financial stability of our university programs and the students who invest time and effort into those programs rests on the generosity of those who care for Southern Miss and its educational undertakings. They are friends of this university – alumni, local businesses and organizations, or anyone who has seen the impact of higher education on the good of society.

The inspiration to give is often times as unique as the donor himself, but all gifts are important to the purposes of Southern Miss. Here are some reasons donors have given in the past:
