Art and Design Scholarship a Tribute to Former Student
A new scholarship has been named in memory of Joshua Lance Landry, a former student at The University of Southern Mississippi.
Established by parents Lane and Peggy Landry, The Lance Landry Legacy Scholarship will provide scholarships for students in the Department of Art and Design at Southern Miss.
Joshua Lance Landry passed away in February 2007 at the age of 20. He was a junior at Southern Miss and graduated from Long Beach High School.
According to his parents, Joshua Lance Landry had a quick mind and a wonderfully witty and wry sense of humor. “This scholarship at USM will be a tribute to lance, recalling his creativity and his compassion for others. His positive attitude toward education and the fields of service will continually serve as an inspiration to his family and many friends.”
