Promotion Salary Increments Resolution

Presented February 20, 1998; Passed March 20, 1998

The Faculty Senate in 1997 endorsed a resolution offered by the Benefits/Work Environment Committee, recommending that raises associated with promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor and from Associate Professor to Professor be increased by approximately $1,500 [from $3,500 to $5,000 for Associate Professor and from $5,000 to $6,500 for Professor].

Promotion salary increments subsequently were raised $500 each for promotion in rank to Associate Professor and to Professor.

Therefore, the Faculty Senate recommends that promotion salary increments be raised $1,000 for Associate Professor and $1,000 for Professor, bringing those increments to $5,000 for Associate Professor and $6,500 for Professor.
