Campus Link AmeriCorps Program
The Campus Link AmeriCorps program started in 1996 at the Institutions of Higher Learning and then moved to the Center for Community and Civic Engagement in 2001.
The Campus Link mission is to improve lives by promoting partnerships between campuses and communities and to engage students and other citizens in service that addresses important social concerns. The primary focus of the current Campus Link Program is to assist higher education institutions and nonprofit centers in supporting at-risk middle and junior high students through mentoring and tutoring programs. The program seeks to provide knowledgeable and trained AmeriCorps Members to serve directly in overburdened middle and junior high schools.
