Bachelor of English: The undergraduate English major consists of 36 hour
of English at the 300-level or above, including 12 hours of 400-level courses.
English Licensure: Requirements for licensure include (1) and ACT composite score
of 21 or higher with no scale score below 18, (2) a minimum grade point average
of 2.65 on the 44-semester-hour general education core curriculum, (3) demonstration
of basic technology literacy, (4) No English grades lower than a “C”,
(5) admission to the teacher education program, (6) completion of 32 hours in
professional education courses, and (7) satisfactory grades on Praxis II examinations.
Minor in English: Eighteen hours of courses above the 200-level.
