The College of Health is diverse, dynamic and growing.  The seven schools and departments that make up the college – several offering degree programs on both the Gulf Coast and Hattiesburg campuses (with a nursing program in Meridian as well) – are an exciting mix boasting of outstanding leaders, excellent faculty, and dedicated staff second to none.

Please take some time to explore not only the college website, but the individual websites for Community Health Sciences; Human Performance & Recreation; Medical Technology; Nursing; Nutrition & Food Systems; Social Work; and Speech and Hearing Sciences, including this Web site for current information on College of Health programs on the Gulf Coast.  Last year, these programs graduated over 700 professionals prepared for service and leadership in Mississippi and beyond – many in critical shortage areas such as nursing and medical technology.

Get a feel for the rich range of innovative learning, new knowledge generation, and clinical applications taking place constantly within the College of Health.  Notice, too, that the college encompasses far more than traditional degree programs.  It is home to several cutting-edge service projects and programs – including the Children’s Center for Communication and Development, the DuBard School, the Delta Nutrition Intervention Research Initiative, the Family Network Partnership, and the National Food Service Management Institute.  These and other parts of the college are heavily involved in vital work related to urgent social issues concerning human health and well-being.

Explore the College of Health.  Check back often for the latest news and developments.  If you have questions or would like to arrange a visit to some part of the college, I encourage you to call my office.  We’d love to hear from you.
