Mission

The Mission of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Youth Development Coalition is to provide leadership, coordinate resources, align policies, and strengthen program collaboration among local youth development organizations that will enhance the ability for children along the Mississippi Gulf Coast to become healthy and productive adults who develop the attitudes, behaviors, competencies, and skills that allow them to succeed as parents, citizens and workers.

Goals
  • Enhance collaborative program delivery among the Coalition Members with the goal of providing comprehensive youth services
  • Catalog and publicize the programs of each Coalition Member so families and children will know where to go for an array of quality programs.
  • Identify and track the community youth profile, including strengths and assets to be enhanced as well as services gaps, and barriers to services to assist in program development and delivery.
