The J.L. Scott Marine Education Center and Aquarium located at Point Cadet in Biloxi was reduced to rubble after Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast. Classes resumed at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory on Monday, Sept. 12. Photos of GCRL after the storm can be found here. Southern Miss facilities at the John C. Stennis Space Center experienced roof damage, but was able to resume classes on Sept. 12. |
