The University of Southern Mississippi at the Stennis Space Center is located at the nation's premier NASA installation for earth sciences and rocket propulsion testing. The Department of Marine Science is located here and offers Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Marine Science and a unique one-year Master's degree in Hydrographic Science. The Center of Higher Learning at Stennis Space Center provides higher education and workforce development opportunities to the employees of Stennis Space Center and to the general public in the surrounding communities.
