- Supervised hatchery production of mysids, silversides, amphipods and other organisms for bioassay testing of oil platform samples and other samples from Louisiana (2002)

- early life history of three Menticirrhus (kingfish) species in the northern Gulf of Mexico
- taxonomy and early life history of marine fishes
- use of remote sensing and GIS applications to determine patterns of larval fish migration
- use of estuarine habitats by post-larval and juvenile fishes
