  • Supervised field sampling for wetland research projects in Louisiana and California for the University of New Orleans as a research assosciate. Primarily used Sedimentation-Erosion Tables to measure marsh vertical accretion and subsidence in coastal wetlands (2001)
  • Supervised hatchery production of mysids, silversides, amphipods and other organisms for bioassay testing of oil platform samples and other samples from Louisiana (2002)

Research Interests:

  • early life history of three Menticirrhus (kingfish) species in the northern Gulf of Mexico
  • taxonomy and early life history of marine fishes
  • use of remote sensing and GIS applications to determine patterns of larval fish migration 
  • use of estuarine habitats by post-larval and juvenile fishes
