Scott Aquarium to Host Snorkeling Adventure

BILOXI -- The University of Southern Mississippi's Scott Aquarium invites Great Scott! members to make reservations now for a snorkeling and camping trip Sept. 25-26. The weekend's destination is St. Andrews State Park in Panama City, Fla. Participants will snorkel along the jetties searching for gobies, blennies, sea anemones and sea urchins. Lodging is at the park's campgrounds and camping gear is required. Cost is $50 per person and includes campsite fee, snorkeling gear, all meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast. "Lunch and dinner on Saturday will be cooked at the campground," membership coordinator Jennifer Hale said. "We will depart the Scott Aquarium in Biloxi at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, and return to the Aquarium by 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26." Deadline for reservations is Sept. 21.
