Registration Underway for Geospatial Conference

OCEAN SPRINGS - Registration is now underway for the second annual Mississippi Gulf Coast geospatial conference scheduled for Oct. 20-22 at the Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi. More than 200 professionals who deal with coastal and environmental issues of the northern Gulf of Mexico are expected to convene for updates and workshops on new remote sensing and geographical information system technologies. The conference will focus on geospatial applications in support of community endeavors. Organized by the Gulf Coast Geospatial Center headquartered at The University of Southern Mississippi's Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, the event is a cooperative effort of the university, the Enterprise for Innovative Geospatial Solutions (EIGS), the Mississippi Association for Spatial Technologies, The Nature Conservancy, South Central Arc User Group (SCAUG) and NASA.
