University of Southern Mississippi graduate student Angelos Apeitos releases tagged spotted seatrout in Fort Bayou, Ocean Springs, Miss. Southern Miss Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) researchers are the first ever to spawn, hatch, and rear native Mississippi spotted seatrout to a tag-able size. Today’s releases at the lab and in Fort Bayou are part of a pioneering stock enhancement program that is a cooperative effort between GCRL and the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources.
