GCRL to Host Free Nature Photography Slide Show

Ocean Springs – The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) will host a free nature photography slide show by Tom Ulrich at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, in Caylor Auditorium at the GCRL.

The presentation by the award-winning wildlife photographer will feature his work from the past year, with a focus on images of birds and other wildlife in international and North American habitats.

Ulrich grew up in South Chicago, graduated with a degree in biology from Southern Illinois University and taught biology for four years before launching his career as a freelance photographer. He has supported himself with nature photography for more than 30 years.
His library of more than 300,000 transparences includes birds and mammals from all over the world. His photographs have been featured in publications such as National Wildlife, Audubon, National Geographic, Montana Outdoors and Life. He has published six nature books.
