Summer Field Program 2009

Marine Ichthyology

This intensive course, taught on the shore of the Gulf of Mexico, will introduce students to the field of ichthyology through lectures on fish morphology, physiology, taxonomy and systematics, evolution, life history and ecology. These are complemented by required field collections in the diverse and pristine marine and freshwater habitats in the north central Gulf of Mexico. Prerequisites: two semesters biology or permission of instructor. Dr. Stephen Bullard. COA 421/521, 421L/521L. Six semester hours credit (3/3). Course field fee is $400.00.
