Research and Scholarly Integrity Education
As a Research University with High Research Activity (Carnegie classification), The University of Southern Mississippi is committed to promoting, supporting, and educating relative to the ethical and responsible conduct of research on our campuses. Education will be made available and minimally include: Authorship and Publication, Collaborative Research, Data Acquisition and Management, Conflict of Interest, Mentoring, Research Misconduct, and Peer Review. Modules concerning research with Lab Animals and Human Subjects will be included as appropriate to the discipline of interest. The purpose of this policy is to set forth minimum education requirements for our research and scholarly integrity education program.
