A Journal for Graduate Student Research
Established in the spring of 2010, Synergy is currently printed in two issues per year. Spring issues contain contributions from students in the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Business, and the College of Education and Psychology. Fall issues publish research by students in the College of Health, the College of Nursing, and the College of Science and Technology. In an effort to celebrate the most exemplary work of our graduate community and to provide students with opportunities for professional development, the review and selection process occurs at the department level. That is, we invite department heads and/or faculty committees to assess submissions by their students and to nominate the top two or three papers for publication. This process ensures that each issue of Synergy brings together a diverse selection of high-quality scholarship reflecting the Graduate School’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and cooperative collaboration. Students interested in publishing work should note, however, that while our selection process is modeled on the peer-review system, Synergy is not a refereed journal.
