100 Men Hall

Jesse Loya at 100 Men Hall
Jesse Loya and his wife Kerri have revived a beloved Bay St. Louis landmark -- the 100 Men Hall on Union Street. Dedicated in 1923, the 2,800-square-foot building hosted some of the greatest names in African American entertainers of the day, including Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Ray Charles and Fats Domino. The 100 Men Hall played a vital role in the Bay St. Louis community and will do so again. Faculty and students from the University of Southern Mississippi hosted an Oral History Day at the 100 Men Hall on March 8, 2009. Explore this page's links for more information.
