Important Change Regarding Billing Proceudres (Please Read Carefully)
Beginning March 2012, The University of Southern Mississippi will NO LONGER MAIL monthly billing statements to students. All future Statements, Fee Invoices included, will be made available on-line via the Student Services Center in SOAR.
Monthly notifications will be sent via email to your eagles.usm.edu email address when you have a bill available. You can access your online statement by clicking on the View Invoices link in the Finances section of your student center. Choose the latest invoice generated. Bills will be mailed in February 2012 for the last time.
This bill will also be available online at the Student Services Center on SOAR. There is a tutorial available at soar.usm.edu. Click on the TUTORIALS link > Students> View Invoices.
Please note that students have the option of granting parents access to billing information through our new parent/guardian access. To give access, students must go to their SOAR account, click on USM Self Service > click on Parent/Guardian Access.
Students will create the account information complete with a password that never expires. Once activated, the parent/guardian can log into the soar.usm.edu with their own login and password to view the student's records. Parents with this access will also be sent an email when bills are available online.

Dates may vary from normal schedule due to university closure or end of semester.
A monthly periodic rate of 1.5 precent will be applied to all accounts with unpaid balances and transactions. All charges for a semester are due at the end of that semester. Any account with a balance due at the end of the semester will be assessed a $100.00 late payment fee.
