Master of Education - School Counseling and Guidance Service
Admission to the Master's in School Counseling and Guidance Services program is for Summer and Fall semsters only. The application dealine is May 30, 2014 for the Summer and July 18, 2014 for the Fall. The Summer cohort is offered on the Hattiesburg campus in the hybrid delivery forma. The traditional face-to-face delivery format is offered on the Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach.
The program is 36 hours and offers a one year internship experience. The program targets students with teaching certification; however, students from non-teaching backgrounds may be considered for admission.
The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning in Mississippi established the Graduate Teacher and the Counseling and School Administration Loan/Scholarship Program (GTS). The program was designed as an incentive to encourage current licensed classroom teachers in Mississippi's public schools to pursue an advanced degree in education.

These dates are important as the number of awards and recipients are dependent upon available funds. Awards are made on a first-come first-serve basis.
