Loan Processing
If you have never received a Federal Direct Stafford Loan but plan on doing so for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year, you must complete Entrance Loan Counseling and a Master Promissory Note online at www.studentloans.gov.

Verification
If you were selected for verification, you are encouraged to submit all the necessary documents in a timely manner.  While not everyone is required to submit an IRS Tax Transcript, if you are required to do so, you may order an IRS Tax Transcript online at  https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof-tra/start.do.

Pell Grants

Due to a change in federal regulations, additional Pell Grants will no longer be available for the summer semester. You will only receive a Pell Grant in the summer if you did not receive your full eligibility in the fall and spring semesters.

Voting

The Southern Miss Gulf Coast Office of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs encourages students to let their voices be heard. Voting is the best method to accomplish this goal.  For more information on registering to vote, click here.
