The office has information about scholarships, grants, loans, and veterans’ educational benefits. The office operates under the auspices of the federal, state, and institutional regulations for the respective programs.

New USM Foundation  Scholarships

The USM Foundation Office is launching a new scholarship application, start your application by visiting their site here. The deadline is February 15, 2015.

Loan Processing
If you have never received a Federal Direct Stafford Loan but plan on doing so for the 2015-2016 school year, you must complete Entrance Loan Counseling and a Master Promissory Note online at

If you were selected for verification, you are encouraged to submit all the necessary documents in a timely manner. Missing verification documentation could delay financial aid processing.  If you are required to submit an IRS Tax Return Transcript, you may print one directly from the IRS website.

Key dates for students enrolling for the 2015-2016 year:

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid for 2015-2016 is available online beginning Jan. 1, 2015.

Apply for 2015-2016 scholarships from the State of Mississippi.  Several scholarships have a March 31, 2015 deadline.
