Online Teacher Education Program now available for Teacher Assistants

Young student with teacher The University of Southern Mississippi is now offering an elementary teacher education program to those who are employed as an Assistant Teacher only in public schools in Mississippi. All K-6 professional education courses may be taken in an online format.

All admission requirements for the traditional education program must be met, including a GPA of 2.65 in core courses, the PRAXIS I, and passing grade on the Basic Technology Literacy Exam (BTLE).
