Total grants exceed $1.5M
Principal Investigator and Project Director for Dept of Labor Grant through the Workforce Investment Act creating the "Citizenship and Justice Academy: Sentenced to Learn" An initial $130K implementation grant with additional funding of $117K in 2003: total funding as of 2003 was $247K. Continued funding in FY 05 of $221K from Department of Justice. Total of $468K of May 2008. (Continuing)

Initial consultant and project catalyst:  Grant to the Harrison County Sheriff's Dept. through The University of Southern Mississippi. The initial grant is for $6M with other money appropriated for the project. Because of this technology grant the Criminal Justice Dept. received a $1M Dept of Justice grant for technology advancement and police training. 2002-2003 for the Gulf Coast Campus.  (Sheriff’s Dept grant still ongoing)

Principal Investigator and Project Director Office of Attorney General for Administration of Southern Division Regional Office, as Division Director coordinate and support Attorney General’s Southern Division Office on coast Campus of The University of Southern Mississippi. Period of grant funding Jan 2005-May 2007 of $38.4K. (Completed)

Principal Investigator and Project Director of a Knight Foundation Grant to Promote Youth Development and Prevent Youth Violence in Harrison County, Mississippi. A planning grant designed to conduct a needs assessment in Harrison, County the second largest populated county in Mississippi, 1997-1999. $50K Grant (Completed)

*Have proposed four other grants on police training and public safety communication network and research grant for evaluation of CJA; grants were not funded.
