Letter from the Chair
Welcome to the Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) Gulf Coast Web page. As chair, I invite you to take a few minutes to look over the degree options available in the area of health. At the undergraduate level there are two programs of study offered at the Gulf Coast Campus.
1) Health Promotion, our foundation public health degree. Students graduating with this degree obtain jobs in various health settings, including health clinics, hospitals, government sponsored health programs, and state and local health departments.
2) Allied Health offers two-year allied health graduates an opportunity to pursue a bachelor's degree in healthcare management.
Finally, the Department of Community Health Sciences is comprised of highly qualified faculty that work diligently to advise, assist, and challenge students. This is our greatest asset.
