Shugana WilliamsShugana Williams has been in the library science profession for over five years first serving as a graduate assistant in McCain Archives and Library Civil Rights in Mississippi Digital Project. Later, she became the Reference Archivist at the Amistad Research Center at Tulane University, and Visual Collections Librarian at the University of Mississippi. She holds an M.L.I.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi and a B.A. in History from Tougaloo College.

 Dr. Deanne NuwerDeanne Stephens Nuwer, Ph.D., earned her Doctorate of Philosophy in history in 1996 from The University of Southern Mississippi. Her specialities include medical history, social history, oral history, and women's studies. Her manuscript on the 1878 Yellow Fever Epidemic in Mississippi was published in summer 2009 through the University of Alabama Press. She has numerous chapters and articles published that explore southern events and cultural trends, particularly in Mississippi.
