Co-Director of Continuity: Sarah Bailey

Sarah Bailey became an LOWP Teacher Consultant in 2003 and was immediately tagged for leadership in the Summer Institute.  She carefully crafted the design of the Summer Institute on previous work and built one of the strongest Summer Institutes in the nation.

After finishing her work with Summer Institute, Sarah moved to the responsibility of Continuity Co-Director.  In that position, she has helped design and plan events and activities that keep members connected to the site after their Summer Institute experience.  She has organized book clubs, writing groups, research and study groups, writing retreats, marathon writing days, Saturday learning sessions, and other events that allow teachers to gather and discuss their craft.

Sarah is a National Standards Board Certified teacher and is currently participating in the development of Common Core Student Standard work that will be shared at the site and regional levels.
